Jori Lewis is an award-winning freelance writer and a radio journalist based in Brooklyn, NY. She focuses on a range of fields–from the environment and social and criminal justice to music and cultural politics. Jori reports for numerous publications and shows including PRI’s The World, the Online NewsHour, Salon.com and E/The Environmental Magazine. She was a contributing reporter to the 2006 George Polk Award-winning series Early Signs: Reports from a Warming Planet. And in 2007, she was a finalist for the Livingston Award for Young Journalists. Most recently, Jori worked as a Metcalf Fellow in Environmental Reporting at PRI’s The World.

Jori has a master’s degree from UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. She also holds a BA in anthropology and a MA in the social sciences, both from the University of Chicago.
